Summary: CANDARE, JOHN RAY C., GUARIN, VINCENT XYRELLE, S., and MEDINA, MELVIN C., DEVELOPMENT OF MAGNETIC TOOL MAKER'S VISE. Undergraduate Project Study. Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology. Cavite State University Rosario, Cavite. January 2014. Adviser: Mr. Rodel B. Lubong. Technical Critic: Mr. Romulo R. Isorena. This project study sought to design, construct, test evaluate and revise a Magnetic Tool Maker's Vise out of local supplies and material as an answer to the problem of inadequacy of tools and equipment at the Cavite State University Rosario campus. Specifically, this study attempted to design, construct, test and evaluate the developed Vise with regards to its functionality, affectivity and versatility. The Magnetic Tool Maker's Vise was designed and constructed with great accuracy and precision. This project was constructed for the Bench Work, Drill Press and other related work. The study revealed that the constructed Magnetic Tool Maker's Vise was technically feasible due to the fact that its design and construction were hassle-free and made out of local materials. The total cost of the complete project was Php. 20,020.75. The methodology used in constructing the devise is cutting, drilling, milling, and lathe machining. This project study is focused only in developing and constructing a Magnetic Tool Maker's Vise. The Magnetic Tool Maker's Vise fosters the use of innovation to shop equipment for a better work in the shop. It provides more accurate, efficient vise in bench work. The Magnetic Tool Maker's Vise is very efficient when it comes to the workplace. This could be attached either to metal or wood working table. The specialized attachment of the magnetic vise gives versatility and capability to use in any working situation. The project is limited to hold a work piece with a measurement of 1-100mm in thickness. The findings of the study based on the results of the evaluation were excellent in terms of its workability. This project recommends removing the magnetic base from the vise when not in use and providing a box to maintain the life span of magnetic base.

This project study sought to design, construct, test evaluate and revise a Magnetic
Tool Maker's Vise out of local supplies and material as an answer to the problem of
inadequacy of tools and equipment at the Cavite State University Rosario campus.

Specifically, this study attempted to design, construct, test and evaluate the
developed Vise with regards to its functionality, affectivity and versatility. The Magnetic
Tool Maker's Vise was designed and constructed with great accuracy and precision. This
project was constructed for the Bench Work, Drill Press and other related work.

The study revealed that the constructed Magnetic Tool Maker's Vise was
technically feasible due to the fact that its design and construction were hassle-free and
made out of local materials. The total cost of the complete project was Php. 20,020.75.

The methodology used in constructing the devise is cutting, drilling, milling, and
lathe machining.

This project study is focused only in developing and constructing a Magnetic Tool
Maker's Vise. The Magnetic Tool Maker's Vise fosters the use of innovation to shop
equipment for a better work in the shop. It provides more accurate, efficient vise in bench
work. The Magnetic Tool Maker's Vise is very efficient when it comes to the workplace.
This could be attached either to metal or wood working table. The specialized attachment
of the magnetic vise gives versatility and capability to use in any working situation.

The project is limited to hold a work piece with a measurement of 1-100mm in
thickness.

The findings of the study based on the results of the evaluation were excellent in
terms of its workability.

This project recommends removing the magnetic base from the vise when not in
use and providing a box to maintain the life span of magnetic base.
