Briones. <br/><br/>The study was conducted from December 2018 to May 2019 to design and construct a training board for solar photovoltaic systems that provides the user the understanding of the operation of the on-grid and off-grid system. This includes simulation of different connections of equipment and monitoring of the power, current, voltage and energy to enhance their skills and knowledge in installation and designing. Specifically, the study aimed to: 1. design and fabricate solar array mounting frame for installation practicing that allows the user to configure connection and mounting of solar panel array; 2. design and fabricate a solar PV system training board that allow the simulation of the following: 2.1 off-grid and on-grid PV system and inverters' operation. 2.2 12V system in comparison with 24V system; 2.3 solar charge controller paralleling, 2.4 interconnection of different types and ratings of solar panel, and 3. test and evaluate the technical performance of the PV system training board to simulate above in terms of, 3.1 power conversion efficiency and 3.2 voltage drop. <br/><br/>Ten test trials of parameter measurement were done for each simulation. The simulation of the operation of off-grid and on-grid inverter was observed through its power conversion efficiency and its effectivity in a PV system. Off-grid inverter was tested through ten various load power ratings while the on-grid inverter was observed.">MARTINEZ.
