Technical critic: Mr. William P. Luseco. The study was conducted from July 2015 to April 2017 to develop and evaluate horizontal hydraulic pipe bender. This study aimed to; 1) design horizontal hydraulic pipe bender; 2) construct horizontal hydraulic pipe bender using locally available materials and manpower; 3) evaluate the prototype performance in terms of the efficiency in bending pipe horizontally; and 4) conduct cost analysis of horizontal hydraulic pipe bender. The Horizontal Hydraulic Pipe Bender was constructed with a hydraulic jack that provides the force to push the bender frame to bend a pipe. The ram which holds the frame that gives pressure to bend the pipe accurately and precisely. The die was the part of the project that formed the pipe in its desired angle. It has different sizes of dies ranging from 12.70mm, 19mm, 26.4mm and 30.1mm. The device can bend a pipe with an included angle of 175 degree as the minimum to 100 degree as the maximum. The total cost of the project was PHP 22,133.77.
