520 _aEntrepreneurial Development Project is a learning process that B.S. in Business Management students must undergo. It is where the creativity and marketing skills of the students are being put into practice. Kristine Canona, Criselle Cumal, and Roselyn Manesca acted jointly together to try something more exciting and more gainful for themselves. More established business of today started just an idea among few people with no great expectation of great size and success. Through brainstorming the entrepreneurs focused themselves on a short order concept and come up with Wowfle Craze. Wowfle Craze offers different variation of waffles that suit the taste of every individual. The word Wowfle Craze is derived from 3 words -wow, waffle, and craze. Wow is an expression of surprise for a reason that a person terribly likes the thing being given unto him/her unexpectedly. Then, waffle is our main product being offered. And lastly, is craze or great obsession for something. In other words, the name Wowfle Craze is the great obsession for waffle with the twist of a surprise. The operation of the business started last November 14, 2008, with the initial capital of Php 2,400.00 which was equally shared by the entrepreneurs. The initial capital was used in purchasing necessary tools, equipment and supplies for the production of waffle together with the payment of necessary utilities such as electricity and the like. The entrepreneurial project was conducted in two places. One at Barangay San Juan I, General Trias, Cavite from November 14 to December 14, 2008, and at Barangay Wawa Loob, Rosario, Cavite from December 15 to February 12, 2009. These places were chosen because of the accessibility to the transportation and nearness to the target market. The production area in Barangay San Juan I, General Trias, Cavite had a dimension of 3x6.5 meters, and 3.6x5 meters is the dimension of the production area in Barangay Wawa Loob, Rosario, Cavite. Both consist of processing area where production took place, the storage area for storing of raw materials and the washing area. Through this entrepreneurial development project, the proponents were able to apply their managerial expertise and skills into business operation. It also served as a general preparation among the entrepreneurs to manage a business from planning, decision - making, marketing to monitoring the whole activities and the things to be considered with one engaged in the business. The proponents realized that if one is really up to establishing a business, one should really be decided to take the possible risks to be encountered throughout the business, do even the simplest work even under extreme pressure, and have lots of patience and most of all love what they're doing. In addition to this, a good communication should be practiced for it can be a great help to achieve the goals and objectives of the business as well as to overcome all the difficulties and problems encountered by the business. The entrepreneurs also learned that it is not about the price of the product but about the happiness that is being brought to the customers. They are making sure that the waffle they serve is customer friendly. And most importantly, the proponents learned that they must put a strong emphasis on keeping customers and building loyalty by focusing on customers' satisfaction. Generally, this project taught the entrepreneurs that even though every business begins with good idea, an entrepreneur still needs the financial resources to turn that idea into reality and it may also require patience, patience in order to have a well-established business. Within the entire operation, the business earned a gross profit of Php 17,132.50 and incurred operating expense amounting to Php 4,551.00.
