The study was conducted from July 2015 to February 2016 to develop and evaluate a Scale Converter. Specifically, the study aimed to: 1) design a Digital Scale Converter with a graphic user interface to compute for the sealed value of the subject to be drawn; 2) construct a Digital Scale Converter from materials that were available in local market, and; 3) evaluate the effectiveness, speed, and accuracy in computing for the scaled values for the drawing exercises by using the development of Digital Scale Converter.

The Digital Scale Converter was constructed with the dedicated functions which include the 72 Built in Scale,6 Custom Scale and 2 Built in Memories. Quickly switch between Metric and Imperial Modes. 39 Imperial (feet-inch) and 33 metric. Multiple dimensional unit for versatility; select your needed measurement units: for Imperial mode, Decimal, Feet, Feet-Inches, Decimal-Inches, Yards, and also for Metric mode, Millimeters, Centimeters, Meters, Kilometers and Miles- including Square and Cubic formats of each. Lock switch prevents accidental changes of scale or mode.

The digital scale converter has LCD Display including 7 digit main display, 3 digit count, 5 digit scale display, with annunciator legends. The display dimensions for the upper LCD Display is '0.62x1.22'(15.8x31 mm) and the lower LCD Display is '0.79x1.22'(20x31 mm),with 3 volt lithium batteries (CR-2032). Wheel composition using Celcon Polymer plastic. Accuracy of 2- 4% for start & stop; 12 digit internal accuracy. The developed project can convert metric to metric and imperial to imperial system. The total cost of the project was Php.7,830.00.
