The study was conducted from March 2017 to September 2018 at Cavite State University-CCAT Campus in drafting building and in Tanza, Cavite to develop and evaluate the profile of convertible drafting machine with laser light. Specifically, this study aimed to 1. design the convertible drafting machine with laser light. 2. construct convertible drafting machine with laser light using locally available materials in the local market. 3. evaluate the prototype for testing its effectiveness and accuracy in terms of length of time, construction of shapes, flexibility, and accuracy of the digital laser light protractor 4. compare the convertible drafting machine with laser light to typical or existing drafting machine in Cavite State University- CCAT Campus; and 5. conduct cost analysis for the convertible drafting machine with laser light.

The prototype was conducted with three (3) major parts namely: the drafting machine, the digital laser light protractor with 3 optional applications and improvised tools consist of flexible ruler and improvised angle finder. The drafting machine is not a typical drafting machine, It helps the user to adjust in any comforting position. It can be moved at blackboard for teaching purposes or moved to table for mechanical drawing for students. Digital laser light protractor helps the user to identify the angle being input in the device by means of laser light that is automatically projected with the combination of the said touch screen calculator that has the capacity of computing numerical value by inputting it in the device by means of encoding. The last is the unit converter that helps the user to convert a unit to other unit. The flexible ruler helps the user with the capability of bending the desired arch or regular and irregular curves. The specialized design of the device fosters safety at work and it was convenient to use. The total cost of the completed project was PHP. 14, 148.00.
