The general objective of the study was to develop and implement a Security system in the Central Computer Laboratory of Cavite State University--Rosario and was conducted from January 2015 to March 2016. Specifically it aimed to 1) design the user interface of the system, identify all necessary in nuts. process and output of the system, 2) evaluate the beta-version of the system for necessary modification and updates and, 3) implement the security system in the computer laboratories and in faculty room Of the Department of Computer Studies.
The interactive model of system development was used. The developers planned, analyzed and designed continuously to produce the system for testing evaluation. The software was assessed in terms of ease of use, content accuracy and gender-sensitivity, objectives and curriculum support, user-interaction, cost efficiency, support and services, and as a learning tool.
Twenty four respondents composed of two security personnel, one technical support personnel, five I.T experts, six faculty members, and 10 students from CvSU- Rosario were selected to evaluate the system. The result of the software evaluation is outstanding, software given a score of 91.25/100.
The system is now implemented in the Computer Laboratories the Department of Computer Studies CvSU-Rosario.
