The study was conducted from January 2017 to April 2018 to develop an online scholarship management information system. Specifically, the study aimed: 1) design the web-based system of scholarship management information system for CvSU-CCAT; 2) create the web-based information system using Hyper Text Mark-up Language (HTML), Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) and Hypertext Pre-processor (PHP) as it's front-end and MySQL for the back-end; 3) test and evaluate the website using modified website evaluation criteria, and 4) deploy the system as an innovative way of disseminating relevant information on scholarship programs.
The developers used the interactive model of system development for the methodology. The planning, analysis, design phase were performed continuously until the system was developed for evaluation and implementation.
The system was evaluated by 35 respondents, composed of IT experts, Scholarship Coordinator, scholar students, teachers and students of CvSU-CCAT. The Scholarship Management Information System for Cavite State University CCAT Campus gained a total mean score of 4.26 with descriptive interpretation of very satisfactory from the web developers and total mean score of 4.64 with descriptive interpretation of excellent from the end users.
