Burton.<br/><br/>The research study entitled, Madre de Cacao (Gliricidiasepium) as an alternative fertilizer on eggplants was undertaken at Cavite State University-Rosario Campus from October 2014 to February 2015. The study focused on the application of Madre de cacao as an alternative fertilizer to eggplant. This study determined the significant difference between commercial fertilizers and of Madre de cacao fertilizer on eggplant.<br/><br/>The first treatment was without fertilizer To (normal) the researcher only used water in the plant. The two remaining treatments consisted of Urea fertilizer (T-1 tablespoon of commercialized urea fertilizer) and fermented Madre de cacao solution (T2- 50 ml of fermented Madre de cacao fertilizer). The application of fertilizer was done every other week within 12 weeks and the gathering of data was done every week.<br/><br/>With the use of one way analysis of variance (ANOVA) method as the statistical treatment, the researchers found out that T2 (Madre De Cacao fertilizer) is neutrally effective when used on eggplant and compared to To (Normal), it is effective when compared to T. (Urea Based Fertilizer) in terms of the length of the stem, number of leaves and number of florescence. In terms of the physical appearance of the plant T2(Madre De Cacao fertilizer) is effective when compared to the other two treatments.
