This project study was guided to answer the following questions: (1) how does the lap table with deep cool netbook cooler perform its function effectively and efficiently in reducing heat as lap support? (2) How does the lap table with deep cool netbook cooler help drafting student to perform drafting work accurately and precisely?
The main objective of the study was to construct and develop a Lap Table with Deep Cool Netbook Cooler. Specifically, this project study aimed to: (1) Plan to develop a lap table with deep cool netbook cooler to help the students of Cavite State University Rosario Campus (CvSU-R) do their work easy. (2) Analyze its component parts and materials needed to finish this study. (3) Design and construct a lap table with deep cool netbook cooler. (4) Test its functionality and efficiency. (6) Evaluate its performance and purposes. (7) Revise based on the results of the evaluation.
The Development of Lap Table with Deep Cool Netbook Cooler was designed to work with ease and comfort for more effective drafting works. It is designed to reduce heat that builds up on lap and serves as a writing desk for the students.
This project study was limited only in the development and evaluation of the development of lap table with deep cool netbook cooler and was done from June, 2013 to January, 2014.
The methodology used to apply the technology in developing the project study was from the formal classroom theory to carpentry, welding and drafting design for the orthographic and isometric drawing.
To determine the usability as its acceptability, an evaluation was conducted based on the criteria such as functionality, aesthetics, work ability, durability and economy.
The study was rated by twenty five (25) users from Cavite State University Rosario (CvSU-R) and 10 non users from Rosario National High School (RNHS) with the total of 35 respondents.
O Collected data were tabulated and analysed using the frequency counts, percentage and weighted mean.
Based on the results of the evaluation, the study got an overall mean of 4.77 with a descriptive rating of "Excellent". The participant's agreed that the Lap Table with Deep Cool Netbook Cooler is ideal for student needs.
