This research study entitled Santol (Sandoricum koetjape) and Calamansi (Citrus microcarpa) charcoal briquettes". It was conducted at Mr. Medrano's house in Santa Cecilia 2 Tanza, Cavite. The main objective of the study is to show the comparison between charcoal briquettes from calamansi and santol peelings and charcoal. Specifically, this study aims to determine the significant difference among the three (3) treatments in terms of longevity, odor, color of the smoke and amount of energy it can emit.
The study used experimental research and employed RCBD or Randomized Complete Block Design for analyzing longevity. This study used two (2) trials and two (2) replications on longevity and amount of energy emitted. Factors such as odor and smoke emission were analyzed descriptively the treatments used in this study were follows: To charcoal, T. - calamansi peelings and T2-santol peelings.
Result shows that there is no significant difference between the three (3) samples based on longevity.
In terms of odor, calamansi and santol briquettes possesed a foul odor and the locally sold charcoal does not.
In terms of color of smoke, all of the three (3) charcoal samples emitted a white colored smoke.
In terms of amount of energy, it can emit, the locally sold charcoal ermits more energy than calmansi and santol.
