Research Study, Cavite State University Rosario, Cavite March, 2012 Adviser Mrs Bernadette F. Lim This study entitled "Evaluation of Mosquito Repellant Floor Wax with Neem Azadirachta indica) Oil was conducted at Tejeros Convention, Rosario, Cavite from July 2011 to January 2012 with the objective of evaluating mosquito repellant floor wax with neem oil. This study aimed to evaluate if the mosquito repellant floor wax with neem oil is effective in terms of repelling duration and proximity from the treated surface The hypothesis of the study is the mosquito repellant floor wax with neem oil is not effective in repelling mosquito Neem oil was bought at Divisoria Manila. It was mixed with commercial floor wax according to treatments T. (4 mL neem oil + 60 mL floor wax), T2 (8 mL neem oil + 60 mL floor wax), T3 (12 mL neem oil + 60 mL floor wax) Then the treatments were set for evaluation. There were 120 mosquitoes used in the study to measure the relative effectiveness in terms of repelling duration and proximity from the treated surface The results of the study revealed that the three treatments have a relative effect as a mosquito repellant floor wax in terms of repelling duration and proximity from the treated surface. This study used descriptive analysis and revealed that T- (12 mL neem oil + 60 mL floor wax) ranks the first among the treatments with the least average number of mosquitoes present in Area I (area exposed to the treated surface effective until 8 hours. Ts also has the greatest number of mosquitoes in Area III (farthest area and the boundary of the mosquito net) also effective until 8 hours. In terms of duration, the final average of the mosquitoes present in all the treatments revealed that it is effective until eight hours. In terms of proximity from the treated surface, there is an inversely proportional relationship between the concentration of neem oil in the floor wax and the number of mosquitoes. The greater the concentration, the lesser number of mosquitoes present. Among the treatments T3, was found to be the most effective in repelling mosquitoes Therefore, the null hypothesis was rejected and mosquito repellant floor wax with neem oil is effective. From the findings and conclusion of the study, researchers suggest using T3 that showed the highest result of proximity from the treated surface and still effective after 8 hours. Therefore, floor wax with neem oil is effective in repelling mosquito and it is recommended to use neem oil as a mosquito repellant property in making floor wax. Further studies should be conducted to design another form of neem oil mosquito repellant product.
