The research study entitled "Prickly Pear Cactus as An Alternative Ingredient in Making Shampoo For Dogs was conducted at Cavite State University-Rosario and at Tejero General Trias, Cavite. Generally, this study aimed to produce a dog shampoo from Prickly Pear Cactus. Specifically, this study aimed to determine the significant effects of the cactus n terms of softness, scent, texture and glossiness.
There is no applicable research design in this study. The gathering of data was done before observation. The effects of the shampoo were then determined after twenty one days of observation.
The results showed that the shampoo produced from the cactus has a significant difference in terms of softness, fineness, glossiness and texture. It was concluded that T3 gave the best result compared to the other treatments.
From the findings and conclusion of this study, these are the recommendations: 1.Use prickly pear cactus as an ingredient in making shampoo. 2. Conduct further studies on the use of prickly pear cactus as an ingredient in making shampoo, and lastly, 3. Conduct further studies on which the shampoo made from prickly pear cactus has a significant effect in the hair of humans.
