The study was conducted from July 2013 to January 2014 in Cenizal Funeral Homes Tanza, Cavite to observe and analyze the existing problems on their business and to develop a system that can solve and help the business. Specifically the study aimed to 1 plan a system through identifying the existing process of funeral service and documenting what the new system must do, 2 analyze what the system can do in improving the funeral homes processes and to build a logical model of the new system; 3. design a website that is easy to use and understand with accurate information through the aid of different software such as Adobe Dreamweaver, MySQL and other web developing tools like Adobe Photoshop and Notepad++, 4, evaluate and test the system if it will address most of the problems experienced by the administration as well as their clients, and 5 implement the system that will speed up the transaction and give reliable records for the administration.
Observation, interviews and analysis of the existing process of the business were done to gather the necessary requirements for developing the system. The management had nine staffs and additional 101 random people were included as participants in the study Participants were classified into two people age 18 years old and above and Cenizal Funeral Homes staff.
Cenizal Funeral Homes Tanza, Cavite prints different advertisement and offer it to people. Clients who want to avail pre-planning services need to go every now and then to the company's respective office. Their management have no computerized reports. Thus, it becomes difficult for them to monitor their business activities resulting to bad business performance. Also, they have a little space for accommodating their clients.
The system provided a solution for the administration to easily monitor their business activities and accommodate more clients. Through the help of the system, the administration could have online application for their savings plan service. With the computerized reports of their transactions and sales they could easily identify the strengths and weaknesses of their business. Aside from that, the administration could make sure that their client's data were kept safe and secure. It also provided an organized view of clients' records.
