The study was conducted from September 2018 to May 2019 to develop an android-based application for tourist spots in Cavite using VR Box. Specifically, the study aimed to: 1) to improve the number of the tourist that may visits the different attractions that the Cavite may offer, 2) to promote the beauty of Cavite the well preserve natural attractions and the beauty of the man-made attraction; and 3) to help Caviteño's to earn income with the help of Tourism
The developers used the RAD model for the methodology. The requirements planning, user design, construction, and cutover were performed continuously until the application was developed for evaluation and implementation
The mobile application was tested in terms of its functionality and portability using test cases that enables the developers to enhance the application. Also, the application was evaluated by 30 participants, composed of 5 mobile developers, 5 tourists, and 20 end-users. The mobile application gained a total score of 4.39/5.00 for mobile developers and 4.49/5.00 for the end users, suggesting an outstanding performance and characteristics.
