Descriptive analysis was used in the study. In conducting the study, the researchers gathered data through observing the actual operations of the employees, conduct personal interviews to the employees and other staffs in the company. The study was conducted at MEC Electronics Philippines Corporation from February to April 2018, MEC Electronics Philippines Corporation is a leading manufacturer of power supply cords, wiring harnesses and computer cable assemblies in which APC, Scheneider, IMI, Canon, Wokong, Tamura, UMEX, Fabricators, EATON and Phoenixtec are their customers in CEZ, Rosario, Cavite But there are some problems that MEC encountered especially in the production area such as, lack of manpower, high turn-over rate, shortage of the materials, old model of the machine and defective products. MEC Electronics Philippines Corporation has a daily output percentage of productivity with the target of 90% in the form of table. It shows if the output products target the 90% and based on the table that we've seen, there are days that their output percentages, target were not achieved. There are some challenges that the production area encountered so that they didn't reach the target percentage. The study analyzed the labor productivity in the production area of the company and found that the major problems are manpower and machineries that can affect the labor productivity. Having new high developed machines can have a positive impact on labor productivity by giving the employees knowledge how to operate the machines properly. When the employees are already knowledgeable and operate the machine correctly, it can make more sales to bring more revenue to the company and give the customer needs on time and have a competitive advantage over competitors. For the improvement of MEC Electronics Philippines Corporation in the production area and to avoid conflicts and problems in making products, the researchers recommend to instill accountability to the employees and encourage them to be more cautious when it comes to their work, hence minimizing the risks of errors, motivate and reward the employees for the good results of their work, and provide seminars for the employees by sending them for training courses. MEC Electronics Philippines Corporation is a manufacturer of AC power supply cords, wiring harnesses and computer cable assemblies. In supported of its campaign for process environment, the company has converted its production flow concept from sectional to continuous line system that hastens process flow thus increasing line efficiency. As part of KAIZEN program, the company has started to adopt the U-Line concept to ease line balancing, thus maximizing the manpower utilization. In pursuit of further enhancing our financial strength and flexibility, as well as our position in the wire harness and cable assembly market, beginning August 6, 2014, our parent company MEC IMEX, Inc, entered into a definitive merger agreement with ACUS Electronics Co., Ltd., a leading provider of comprehensive connector solutions for a wide array of electronic applications in consumer electronics, network communications, and automotive industry Aces now stand as the new parent of MEC Electronics Philippines Corporation.
