In agriculture-related businesses, hog farming was one of the businesses that faced many challenges brought by the epidemic. This type of business created a strategy to survive those kinds of scenarios. Hence the researchers aimed to determine the effects of the African swine fever outbreak and the coping mechanism used by the hog farmers in the City of General Trias, Cavite. The research design that was utilized in this study was a descriptive method as well as Convenience sampling. A descriptive survey design was used to determine the effects of African swine fever and to measure the effectiveness of coping mechanisms used by the hog farmers. The study revealed that most of the hog raisers are ages 18 to 30 years old, and the majority of them were female. It also revealed that most hog farmers are already operating their businesses for 3 to 4 years. The study revealed most of the effects of African swine fever faced by the hog farmers terms of operation, (1) The increase in the price of hogs or pig products (2) Losses of hogs during an African swine fever (3) having a hard time to find where to deliver and supply your product. In sales, (4) It is harder to sell our pigs because of African swine fever, (5) The demand for pigs decreases due to African Swine Fever.
