The study was conducted from June 2015 to April 2017 at Cavite State University Rosario Campus in Electronics Building (TVEP R-3). The main objective of the study was to develop and evaluate a high power loudspeaker with low and high frequency audio amplifier. Specifically, the study aimed to: 1) design the high power loudspeaker with low and high frequency audio amplifier. 2) construct the high power loudspeaker with low and high frequency audio amplifier from supply and materials available in the local market. 3) evaluate the efficiency and safety of the high power loudspeaker with low and high frequency audio amplifier , and 4) conduct a cost analysis for the fabrication of the high power loudspeaker with low and high frequency audio amplifier.
The prototype was constructed with different parts which include the power transformer with the current rating of 6 Amperes , two amplifiers which separate the low and high frequency, one woofer speaker that produce the low frequency, on tweeter speaker that produce high frequency, one mid range speaker that produce medium sound, and two LED indicators that provides if the high power loudspeaker with low and high frequency audio amplifier is ON/OFF and if the input is played or ready to use.
Measuring the sound level and safety was done in evaluating the prototype. The sound level of maximum volume for low frequency sound was 35 db,the sound level of maximum volume for high frequency was 33 dB and for the maximum volume using
microphone was 22 dB. Data collected were analyzed thoroughly.
To determine the safety of high power loudspeaker with low and high frequency audio amplifier, the prototype was operated from minimum to maximum volume of sound for three hours then check the condition of the coil after its operation. After testing the minimum to maximum volume it operates, the speaker didn't burn its tweeter and woofer speaker coil.
