The study was conducted from April 2015 to March 2016 to develop and evaluate leveling device and Multi-angle Reader with Light and Sound Indicator. Specifically,the study aimed to: 1) design Leveling Device and Multi-angle Reader with Light and Sound Indicator; 2) construct the Leveling Device and Multi-angle Reader with Light and Sound indicator;3) evaluate the performance of the device in terms of: a) accuracy of sprit level at horizontal alignment in 180° setting; b.) accuracy of sprit level at vertical alignment in 90° setting; and c.) accuracy of the device in measuring angles using light and sound indicator; and 4) conduct a cost analysis for Leveling Device and Multi-angle Reader with Light and Sound Indicator.
The Leveling device and Multi-angle Reader with Light and Sound Indicator was designed and covered with an aluminum alloy. The overall dimension of the device is 53 mm in width, 436 mm in length, and 76 mm in height. The following are the parts of the Leveling Device and Multi-angle Reader with Light and Sound Indicator: LED lights were used to read exact angle. The buzzer is automatically connected to the desired given angle. Single Pole Single throw (SPST) is to hold even, if need a sound or not. Adjustable arm moves into its desired angle (30°,60°,90°,120°,and 150°) the LED light will respond with the sound indicator.
In testing and evaluation, a level of accuracy were measured and compared.Data collected were analyzed to determine the accuracy of the leveling device and its different angle positions.The minimum, maximum range of its measuring capability was only limited to 0-180°,this means that the value between the given descriptions was the scope in measuring the degree leveling device. The tolerance value of its accuracy was indicated as two primary usages of the proposed leveling device; The angle has a tolerance value of ±0.5°,it generally indicates an inclusive range of values, one of which is the negation of the other. Same with the Level spirit, it commonly designates the confidence interval in a certain measurement, often the standard deviation.;The comparison of the tolerance value difference and remarks value of the leveling device and the existing device in terms of accuracy in horizontal alignment at a give 180° in angle. The procedures were used to determine which pairs of the group means acceptable and a device which is not. The numerical marks confirm that the accuracy of the measurements are both ways ACCEPTABLE. But the tolerance difference of leveling device garnered 0.023 whereas the existing device has a tolerance difference of 0.027. This means that the proposed device was way close to the standard value of ±0.029. Therefore,these results is indicate that same number of trials given and test has a significant altered value in the accuracy of horizontal alignment measurement. The remarks value of the study was ACCEPTABLE, while the existing device was also ACCEPTABLE based on the standard tolerance value of ±0.029. This means that the proposed device was adjacent to the standard value of ±0.029. Therefore,the results given, signposts that same number of trials given and test have a significant difference value in the accuracy of vertical alignment setting.;For checking the accuracy of the device at a given point of the angle, it shows the incremented value of angle in a certain number of trials. Based on the standard tolerance of ±0.5,the gathered results from the tolerance difference of the angle remarks are all ACCEPTABLE in terms of angle specifications of the device. Based on the test made, it was found out that the indicator lamp with beeping sound accurately indicated the angles in degrees as tested.Therefore, the result value has ranged and meet the standard deviation to the tolerance value.; And lastly,shows the accuracy of the leveling device compared to the drafting machine who has almost the same in value of usage. The standard difference also measured in angles of 30 degrees,60,90,120,and 180 degrees and based on the standard deviation of the device.This means that there was a single difference in checking for the accuracy of the both parameters. Therefore, it is way more convenient and accurate to use the leveling device in terms of its accuracy compare to other instrument.
