Automatic Blue Book Vending Machine. Undergraduate Design project. Bachelor of Science Computer Engineering, Cavite state University — Cavite College of Arts and Trades Campus, Rosario, Cavite. June 2019. Adviser: Engr. Juniel M. Arcal. Technical critic: Dr. Rodel B. Lubong. The study was conducted from December 2018 to May 2019 to develop automated vending machine for blue books for the students of Cavite State University - CCAT Campus. Specifically, the study aimed to 1.) design a vending machine that dispenses blue books at any time of the day; 2.) construct and fabricate the prototype of the vending machine; 3.) integrate all the components together with its software; and 4.) test and evaluate the machine in terms of; 4.1) technical performance of the machine; 4.2) asses the perception of the end-users on the design of the vending machine. The blue book vending machine can be use by the students at any time of the day. The machine provides information about the availability of the remaining blue book that allows student and admin to monitor the operation of the machine. There are separate section for the student and the admin wherein students purchase blue books and admin can make changes concerning in adding blue books. The developers tested and evaluated the automated blue book vending machine in terms of functionality, construction, realizability, impact, and presentation of the prototype. Based on the results of the evaluation, there are some instances that the machine dispensed blue book more than expected. Average processing time is around 5-45 depending on the number of blue books to purchase. Therefore, some limitations of the prototype reveal and arises some recommendations for the improvement of the study.
