RODRIGUEZ, GERALD ROSS I. Food Unavailability Timer Display for Fast food Restaurants. Design Project. Department of Engineering. Cavite State University Cavite College of Arts and Trades Campus, Rosario, Cavite. June 2018. Adviser: Engr. John Michael A. Dharma. Technical critic: Diane P. Arayata.
The study was conducted from July 2017 to April 2018 to develop the food unavailability timer display for fast-food restaurants. Specifically, the study aimed to (1) design and construct a timer display for fast-food restaurants that can inform customers on unavailability and availability of selected products or services; (2) test the prototype and the graphical user interface in terms of functionality, construction, realizability, impact and presentation; (3) conduct cost and analysis of the system.
The prototype technological design was evaluated by thirty respondents. Five parameters were identified and used to assess the graphical user interface elements and its output display.
The results revealed that the food unavailability timer display in fast-food restaurants has consistent performances, user friendly graphic user interface, and good output display. Every element on graphic user interface were working accordingly to its function, the buttons responded to a series of clicks as well as the drop-down menu and the textbox. The result of system evaluation in terms of the assessment parameters with their respective criteria showed that the assessment was excellent with a grand mean of 4.7 and its justifies that it can be used for long-hour operations.
