BRIONES, REY H., SUCK, DARWIN JOHN G., VIRAY, RONELL D., Development of Multiple Access Electromagnetic Door Lock Control System. A Project Design. Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Cavite State University Rosario, Rosario, Cavite. April, 2017. Thesis Adviser: Mrs. Diane P. Araya. Technical critic: Jurick P. Paulino.
The general objective of the study was to develop an Electromagnetic Door Lock Access Control System. Specifically, the study aimed to design the circuits and software interface of the Multiple Access Electromagnetic Door Lock Control System, construct the hardware by using Arduino microcontroller; test and evaluate the performance of the Multiple Access Electromagnetic Door Lock Control System in terms of the response rate and response tune of the access control modes; and implement the Multiple Access Door Lock Control System m the RECETS Office of Cavite State University Rosario Campus.
The prototype is a microcontroller-based system that supports its entire access control. Arduino Sketch was used to code the function of all the access control modes and other components contained in the prototype. Finger print scanner, GSM phone call and smart card were the access control modes that were used by the prototype in authentication for granting or denying every access made by a requester. All the access information made by any requester (access history) was stored in the control system’s database. The prototype has an alarm that was triggered whenever an unauthorized access occurred.
The performance of the prototype was being evaluated using Performance Evaluation where the response rate and response time of the access control modes were tested. The most used access control mode was observed through collected data of the control system’s storage application.
