DEL MAR A. Four Renewable Source Camping Lamp: Avatar Lamp. Undergraduate Design Project. Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Cavite State University-Cavite College of Arts and Trades Campus, Rosario, Cavite. June 2019. Adviser: Engr. Ariesthotle D. Arive. Technical Critic: Engr. Dexter S. Ramos. The study was conducted from August 2018 to April 2019 to develop a device that can generate and store energy from sun using a solar panel, wind, hydropower, and manpower using a DC generator. Specifically, the study aimed to: 1) design a portable and waterproof camping lamp powered by four kinds of renewable energy sources; 2) design and fabricate the charging component that can charge a lithium-ion battery; and 3) test and evaluate the technical performance of the camping lamp in terms of the power generation and the charging time of the battery. There are four options in charging the device. Using wind power, the user needs to put the device in an area where air will hit the turbine with enough force to cause it to function. Using running water, the user must connect the electrical cord of the water turbine to the device then soak the dynamo to the water. Using mechanical force, a hand crank will rotate the dynamo to generate electricity. Lastly, using the solar panel, solar energy can charge the battery through the charging module. Based on the result of the testing and evaluation, the researchers discovered that it is possible to generate and store electrical energy in one device using four renewable sources — solar energy, wind, hydropower and mechanical energy.Item type | Current location | Collection | Shelving location | Call number | Status | Date due | Barcode |
