Variable Frequency Drive Trainer with Interactive Manual Display using Raspberry Pi. Design Project. Department of Engineering. Cavite State University Cavite College of Arts and Trade Campus, Rosario, Cavite. March 2019. Adviser: Engr. Alvin A. Castro, Technical Critic: Engr. John Michael A. Dharma. The study generally aimed to construct a variable frequency drive trainer with interactive manual display using Raspberry Pi that controls the frequency of the motor to achieve its desired and exact electrical parameters for academic use. Specifically, this study aimed to: (1) develop an interactive manual display using Raspberry Pi to be projected in a capacitive LCD touch screen; (2) assess the usability and acceptance of the VFD trainer in terms of functionality, construction, reliability, and impact; and (3) assess the student and professional evaluators in terms of their performance in operating the VFD trainer by using set of learning elements. The study was conducted from October2018 to March 2019 at Cavite State University - CCAT Campus, Rosario Cavite. The assessment of usability and acceptability of the VFD trainer obtained positive remarks to the evaluators in providing an avenue for its instructional basis. The criteria for its functionality obtained 4.04 mean rating yielding very good remarks. The rest of the criteria were rated excellent rating such; construction with 4.44 mean rating, reliability with 4.44 mean rating, and impact with 4.58 mean rating. The over-all assessment of the trainer obtained excellent rating with a grand mean of 4.36. Based on the demonstration conducted it shows that the participating students have little knowledge on the operation of the Variable Frequency Drive.Item type | Current location | Collection | Shelving location | Call number | Copy number | Status | Date due | Barcode |
