A Marketing Research: Gender Preference of Buyers on Car Sales Representatives in Selected Municipalities in Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Business Management Major in Marketing. Cavite State University-Rosario Campus, Rosario, Cavite. April 2015. Adviser Ms. Lorna B. Moncada.<br/><br/>The study was conducted from October 2014 to February 2015 in selected municipalities in Cavite to determine the preferred gender of buyers on car sales representatives. The study specifically aimed to determine the demographic profile of car owners.<br/><br/>The descriptive method of research was used in this study. The major tool used in gathering data was a survey questionnaire designed for participants from selected car dealers. The researchers considered 300 as their respondents. The study used quota sampling.<br/><br/>Female consumers considered financing options as a factor when they purchased cars. For female consumers, money always matter. They were more concern with the price before buying some items. On the other hand, male consumers considered the appearance of the car, male who most likely to collect cars. Both female and male consumers purchase cars because of their family individual needs, since they used cars as school service for their children and even on a family vacation trip.<br/><br/>It was also found that both female and male participants preferred female car sales representatives because they were satisfied with the performance shown by female car sales representatives to them. Active listener was the characteristic of female car sales representatives that female participants preferred because females are generally better listeners than men. On the other hand, males are good at negotiation skills. Simple negotiations men do better while in more complex ones women tend to do better.<br/><br/>Although automobile industry is dominated by male still, consumers most likely preferred female sales people. Female car sales representatives are better in sales than males that is why car dealers should hire more female car sales representatives. It shows that female car sales representatives performed well in the aspect of selling car and for attracting consumers. As for female car sales representatives, as this study reveals that female car sales representatives most likely are preferred by consumers they should continue to improve themselves in order for them to be a successful car sales representatives. On the other hand, for male car sales representatives, although car sales are dominated by male, they shouldn't be too confident because in this generation women are now taking over in sales. Women can be a threat so better be careful. They should improve themselves and do their job well for them to remain in the sales force.">DELGADO, RONABELL R.
