The Social Amelioration Program is the Philippine government's emergency subsidy program for more than 20 million Filipino families belonging to the low-income and most vulnerable sectors, those that are severely affected by COVID-19. The beneficiaries were granted a 5,000 to 8,000 pesos monthly cash subsidy for two months during the quarantine period in order for them to afford their basic needs. However, the pandemic caused a lot of changes in the market that led to changed consumer buying behavior. This study aimed to analyze the buying behavior of beneficiaries amidst a pandemic in terms of complex buying behavior, dissonance-reducing behavior, habitual buying behavior, and variety-seeking buying behavior. Also, to determine the buying behavior given different amounts of government subsidies in the form of SAP, In addition, explore the experiences of beneficiaries in the cash distribution process. The researchers utilized a descriptive research approach and a convenient sampling method to gather data from 326 beneficiaries of SAP in a selected barangay in Tanza, Cavite. The results from the collected data revealed that the majority of beneficiaries were males aged 26 to 35 years old, married with 3 to 4 dependents. The majority of them are high school graduates who work as tricycle drivers, earning between PHP 5,001 and PHP 10,000 per month. The buying behavior amidst the pandemic of the SAP beneficiaries was to ask their family, friends, and colleagues when purchasing products as their complex buying behavior. Most of them bought a product infrequently when purchasing a product as their dissonance-reducing buying behavior, and they had a fast-decision- viii making process when buying a product or service as their habitual buying behavior. In addition, the majority of the beneficiaries switched to other brands when lower prices were applied, or discounts were offered as part of their variety-seeking behavior. Furthermore, the findings revealed that the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) beneficiaries given different amounts of government subsidies agreed on their overall buying behaviors, which meant most of them agreed that they always take into consideration the different factors. Moreover, based on the findings regarding the experiences of the beneficiaries while and after claiming the government subsidy, it was revealed that the majority of Social Amelioration Program (SAP) beneficiaries in Tanza, Cavite experienced unsafe surroundings while claiming the government subsidies of the Social Amelioration Program in Tanza, Cavite.
