Joel Gammayao.<br/><br/> The study was conducted from September 2020 - June 2021 to design and construct a hydraulic system trainer that can be used by the instructors in demonstrating the principles and application of the hydraulic system and also in practicing PLC-based application. Specifically, the aimed to 1) design a trainer where students can do express the hydraulic principles; 2) design and fabricate a trainer where students will be able to use PLC as the based programming language in controlling the hydraulic system; 3) test and evaluate the technical performance of the trainer such as to show the alternating motion of cylinder by the use of the principle of limit switch and to test the time will be taken by the cylinder as researchers apply different values of pressure., 4) test the functionality of the trainer through conducting the learning activities, and 5) evaluation of the end-user. <br/> The machine functionality how that the displacement of the cylinder was determined by the pressure exerted by the pump. More oil was needed when the cylinder move forward than when the cylinder move forward was slightly faster that its retraction. However, the difference was insignificant since there was only one source of power, which was pump.
