<a href="GRAPANI, JOSHUA. Development of Solar Energy Bank with Tracking System. Design Project. Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Cavite State University-Rosario Campus, Rosario, Cavite. January 2018. Adviser: Engr. John Robert G. Briones. Technical Critic: John Michael A. Dharma .

The study was conducted from November 2016 to November 2017 to develop the "Solar Energy Bank with Tracking System" in Cavite State University - Rosario. Specifically, the study aimed to: design and construct the tracker's circuit and body; develop a program that will control the solar tracker's movements; test and evaluate the system in terms of power generation, energy conversion, charging and discharging time; and conduct a cost- benefit analysis.

Based on the Performance Evaluation Test, the average power generated by the solar panel mounted in the tracker is greater than the average power generated by the solar panel in the stationary mount. Moreover, the solar panel placed on the mount with tracker produced more energy than that of the panel in the stationary mount. Most importantly, the solar panel placed in the mount with tracker takes shorter time in charging the battery than that of the solar panel on the stationary mount. At a rated load, the battery discharges from full to half capacity for 7.64 hours.

After series of tests and evaluations on the performance of the tracker, the following conclusions were made: the researcher succeeded in designing and constructing the tracker's circuit and body, the researcher also developed a program that controlled the tracker's movement, the prototype increased the power generation and the energy production of the solar panel, the prototype reduced the charging time of the battery by approximately two hours than that of the stationary mount.
