This study entitled "UTILIZATION OF RICE HULL IN DECORATIVE VASE MAKING" was conducted at Education Building at Cavite State University Rosario Campus from October - December 2009 with the following objectives: (1) to determine the significant difference between commercial decorative vase and rice hull vase in terms of durability, texture, compactness and appearance, (2) to identify the factors affecting the quality of rice hull decorative vase.

The Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) was used in the study with two treatments and Ireplication. The treatments were: To control (Commercial Decorative Vase), T₁ (120g rice hull and 150g wood glue), and T2- (120g rice hull and 200g wood glue with wood glue coating). The following were subjected to ANOVA for test Based on the findings of the study and with the use of descriptive analysis, it was found out that the treatments used (T1-T2) cannot replicate a vase in terms of its appearance, texture and durability but can be replicated in terms of its compactness. The ANOVA table showed that there is a significant difference between commercial decorative vase and rice hull decorative vase in terms of its appearance, texture, and durability. In these terms, the operational hypothesis was rejected. The ANOVA table also showed that there is no significant difference between the commercial decorative vase and rice hull decorative vase in terms of its compactness. Therefore, the operational hypothesis was accepted.
