The study, Mobile Decision Support System for Crop Production Management of Cavite was conducted from September 2016 to April 2017 in Cavite State University - Rosario Campus.
Specifically, the study aimed to: design user interface for Mobile Decision Support System for Crop Production Management in Cavite; test and evaluate the application to find out what are the things need to be improved; and to install, deploy and implement the application.
The developers used system development methods called System Development Life Cycle for the methodology. The planning, analysis, design phase were performed continuously until the system was developed for testing and implementation.
The evaluation was conducted at Cavite State University - Rosario Campus and at Pasong Camachile General Trias, Cavite. The system evaluation was composed of the following criteria: ease of using the application, accuracy of contents, software support on curriculum needs and objectives, software as a learning tool, the intended user-learner, cost efficiency, technical support. The participants of the study were composed of faculty staff, professor who studied agriculture, college students and Farmers at Pasong Camachile General Trias, Cavite.
The system was evaluated by 10 participants, composed of the Farmers, Professor who studied agriculture, faculty members, and some of the college students. The Mobile Decision Support System for Crop Production Management in Cavite gained a score of 88.31579/100, meaning very satisfactory performance and characteristics.
