The world has been shaken by the year 2020, which has shook almost the entire globe. A COVID-19 pandemic poses a serious threat to people who work for their families to meet their basic needs. The garment workers, in particular, were the hardest hit by COVID-19's economic disaster. During the pandemic, the garment industry is facing a difficult situation in which employee safety is extremely important. The general objective of the study was to determine the challenges and opportunities of the workforce of the garments industry in Cavite Economic Zone amidst pandemic. A descriptive research design was used in this study. The result showed that majority of the respondents were ages between 31 to 40 years old, junior high school graduates, and single. Furthermore, the study revealed that the workforce of the garment industry commonly earns Php 10,000.00 and below per month. the study also shows that most of them were tailors who are working on a contractual work set- up. Moreover, the study revealed that most of the garment industry workers faced challenges with their reduced salaries due to the decrease in demand for garments in terms of compensation. Aside from that, garment industry workers faced challenges in frequent overtime, lack of medicine, medical supplies, or first-aid kits and communication between workmates. Lastly, the researchers propose recommendations to address the challenges of the workforce of garment industries in Cavite Economic Zone amidst pandemic.
