The present study specifically explores the impact of the immediate implementation of temporary layoffs on the emotional well-being, financial stability, and morale of the affected individuals. This research also aimed to determine the type of unemployment benefits provided by the employers voluntarily to those affected workers. This study conducted a survey for 50 participants, who have been temporarily laid-off on some companies ion Rosario, Cavite during the widespread closure of businesses last year beginning on March 2020 to September 2020. The primary data were collected through online survey questionnaires while the secondary data came from different kinds of literature such as journals, scholarly, articles, news articles, and any other sources relevant to the study. To calculate the results, the researchers have come up with percentage and frequency distribution and weighted mean formula. The findings revealed that the implementation of temporary lay-off in Rosario, Cavite significantly impacts the emotional wellness of the affected employees in a positive way. While the financial stability and morale of the affected individuals indicates that have not been significantly impacted. The researchers have also identified that 39 0r 78 percent of the respondents had received unemployment benefits from their employers voluntarily during their suspension period while only about 11 or 22 percent of them said that they have not received any benefits at all. Most of the respondents said that they had received cash support assistance (26 or 32.1 percent), essential need support packages including rice, groceries, medicines (15 or 18.5 percent), and earning-related unemployment allowance including 13th- month pay, bonuses, overtime pay, and premium pay (13 or 16.0 percent.)
